The winners of the German Packaging Award 2022 have been announced. A total of 38 innovations from six countries will be honoured at the awards ceremony at the end of September as part of the trade fair FachPack. These include six packaging solutions from the beauty and household care sector. Edelmann with its folding box for ampoules “Pop-Art” and Tubex with the cold-foil-coated aerosol can “foil2can” were able to impress in the Design & Finishing category. With its biodegradable coating for aluminium aerosol cans "PURe", Tubex also wins a prize in the "Sustainability" category, as well as Werner & Mertz for their recyclable bottle spray head and Albea for the lightweight tube "EcoFusion Top with Thin-Wall & PCR Max". Packaging manufacturer Linhardt is one of three winners in the "New Material" category. He was honoured for his "Colour Stream PCR Tube", which, thanks to a two-layer structure, is said to not have any restrictions on printing despite a high proportion of recycled material.
