The Desire for Well-Being Grows During the Crisis

Austrian Consumers Spent More Money on Fewer Cosmetic Products in 2023

The increased cost of living is also putting pressure on consumer spending on cosmetics in Austria. According to the Kosmetik transparent platform, every private household spent an average of 229 euros on personal care products in 2023. They purchased 54 packs. Although this is seven euros more, it is one product less than in the previous year 2022. All segments also saw a decline in consumer reach of between 0.2 and 2.9 per cent.
