L'Oréal has acquired a minority stake in the Swiss biotech company Timeline via its venture capital fund Bold. Timeline was founded in 2007 as a spin-off from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL). It focuses on how food, beauty and health can contribute to a long life. The company developed the molecule Mitopure, which is designed to recycle and rejuvenate ageing mitochondria, which are considered the powerhouses of cells.
