Reunion in Munich: Cosmetics Industry Gets Together at CosmeticBusiness

Decision-makers and suppliers from the cosmetics industry will finally be able to meet in person again at CosmeticBusiness in Munich on 20 and 21 October 2021. The industry platform is a trend barometer and source of inspiration, offering a comprehensive overview of new developments in the areas of ingredients, production and packaging. Sustainability is a central theme of both the exhibition and the conference programme.

"CosmeticBusiness is back at last! We are very much looking forward to seeing you in person again in Munich. More than 270 exhibitors and represented companies – including 30 new exhibitors – will be presenting their innovations and products across three halls at the MOC in Munich. 33 per cent of exhibitors come from abroad, representing 19 different countries", explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. "The reception from our exhibitors is an important signal for everyone involved," he emphasises. "It confirms the importance of CosmeticBusiness as the leading meeting place for the cosmetics industry and its suppliers in the German-speaking world. This is a place where people come together to gather ideas for new products and to exchange information with suppliers."

New: Innovation Corner Showcases Innovations and Trends

At this year's CosmeticBusiness the new Innovation Corner in Hall 1 is the place to go for trends and innovations. Here, exhibitors will be unveiling their new products and innovations in the Spotlight special show. Visitors can also take a look into the future with CB Impulse 2022 Beyond. Four colour cards visualise colour worlds and materials to provide recommendations and guidance on colour harmonies for future product design in the coming years 2022 and 2023. Trend analyst and colour expert Niels Holger Wien will be introducing these trend impulses in his lecture "Prospects & Impulse 2022 Beyond" and will be available for personal exchanges three times a day as part of "Meet the Expert" in the Innovation Corner.

Easy Orientation with Thematic Routes

The thematic routes at CosmeticBusiness will help you to find your way around quickly. Whether you are looking for innovations, sustainability, premium products or decorative cosmetics, the routes will direct you to exhibitors offering products that match your needs. Based on their main areas of interest, visitors can plan their visit to the trade fair in advance using the corresponding filters in the exhibitor and product directory.

Sustainability is the topic of the day and cuts across all sectors – be it ingredients, manufacturing or packaging. Visitors following the Green Route at CosmeticBusiness will find it easier to explore the environmentally friendly and sustainable solutions offered by exhibitors.

The Innovation Route leads to all exhibitors that are showcasing new products in the Spotlight special show in Hall 1. Here, the focus is on innovations that are being shown for the first time at CosmeticBusiness.

Packaging Trends – Sustainability as an Opportunity

Andreas Schabert, Managing Director of brandback GmbH, will be explaining the packaging trends that are influencing the cosmetics industry and looking at the opportunities created in particular by new materials, recycling and closed-loop systems in his presentation on Wednesday, 20 October 2021 from 4:15 pm. This lecture will show designers, brand owners and other interested listeners how to respond to these trends in order to develop meaningful concepts that fit both the brand and the company.

New: Everything at Your Fingertips with the App

CosmeticBusiness will for the first time be accompanied by an app. Compact and practical, the application offers access to the conference programme as well as the exhibitor and product directory including a search and filter function. Visitors can also mark their favourites in the app and add personal notes. The app is available via Google Play and in the App Store.
