Inflation Does Not Slow Down Sustainability

Consumers Hold on to Sustainability As An Important Purchase Criterion

According to a recent study by management consultancy Simon-Kucher, inflation has hardly any impact on the sustainability trend in cosmetics and personal care. 74 per cent of the consumers surveyed in the DACH region stated that they continued to buy sustainable cosmetics and care products despite the higher price. As far as the willingness to accept surcharges for sustainability is concerned, the share of this consumer group even rose to 37 per cent. The analysts see brand loyalty as one reason for this, which they believe is significantly higher for beauty products than for other everyday goods.
